Walk through each room and note the condition of walls, floors, windows and fittings.
Photograph existing damage or wear, and note the room, location and date.
Check doors, locks, smoke alarms and other safety items, and record anything that needs attention.
Record the keys, remotes, appliances and other items supplied with the home.
Keep a copy of your agreement and any entry condition report.
Send any condition report to the landlord using a channel you choose, and keep a copy.
