A free license is activated automatically on first run. To upgrade to a paid plan, open the Billing page from within the app after setup.
Download RentManager-Setup.exe from the download page or from the link in your welcome email. Save it anywhere on your PC.
Double-click RentManager-Setup.exe. Windows will ask for administrator permission once. This is needed for two one-time setup steps:
After installation, the app runs without any administrator rights.
Windows SmartScreen warning?
Windows may show a blue "Windows protected your PC" screen the first time you run the installer. This happens because RentManager NZ is a small independent publisher - it is normal and safe to proceed.
The installer is signed by RentManager NZ Limited and the warning will go away as more users install the software.
The app starts automatically and opens your browser at https://rentmanager.
You can also launch it from the Start Menu or the RentManager icon in your system tray.
On first run, a free license is issued automatically and the app opens. To upgrade, go to Billing inside the app -- your license updates instantly without restarting.

Your browser is now connected to a fully local, private RentManager instance. Add your first property to get started.
Updates download automatically in the background. A notification appears in the system tray when one is ready. The app installs the update when your PC is idle, then restarts itself.
Copy the following folder to an external drive or cloud storage of your choice:
%APPDATA%\RentManager
This folder contains your database and all uploaded documents. That is everything.
